KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Linda S. Mansfield, M.S., V.M.D., Ph.D.

In 1994 Dr. Mansfield joined the faculty of Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine where she teaches infectious disease, in cluding parasitology, to the veterinary students and researches mechanisms underlying infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Curre ntly, Dr. Mansfield is a member of the MSU Microbiology Research Unit of the National Food and Waterborne Integrated Research Network for the National Institutes of Health. In addition, she was awarded a Mid-Career Investigator Award from the NIH to enhance her research program in mo use pathobiology. These Career Award funds are focused on developing new mouse models with the ultimate goal to help produce an effective trea tment for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). In all of her work Dr. Mansfield has a strong interest in bringing young people, including more ve terinarians, into the scientific community.

Preregistration is Required - No Walk-in Registration

REGISTRATION FEE

For registration by April 7, 2008 the fee is $50.00 for each participant.

For registration after April 7, 2008 the fee is $60.00 for each participant.

Registration fee includes: meeting attendance, lunch, refreshment breaks, hard copy materials, parking validation, and other amenities involved in creating a rewarding learning experience.

Sorry, no credit cards can be accepted. Make checks or Money Order payable to MISMR. Payments must be in US funds and payable on a US bank.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations submitted in writing prior to April 7, 2008 are necessary for reimbursement of the registration fee minus a $25.00 administration fee. Cancellations after April 7, 2008 will not be refunded.

MISMR reserves the right to cancel the meeting and return all fees. Liability is limited to the registration fee. MISMR will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants including, but not limited to, airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits. Participation of women, racial/ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and other individuals who have been traditionally under represented in science, is encouraged.
